My wife & I socialize with another couple whose company we do enjoy. She (of the other couple) & I, however, sometimes butt heads on silly things, such as this. My contention is that the wine was a gift and its the host’s choice; hers is that it may be a gift, but it should be served immediately. Further, if it isn’t served, it should be saved until the next time the same two couples are together again. I believe this is exceptionally far-fetched and that the recipient has the choice of when to serve it and who to serve it to.

In a few of Eminem’s songs, he always talks about Mariah’s wine cellar. Why does he bring up the wine cellar?

what is flight?
I was told that there is a three tiered system when it comes to wine sales.
Vineyards –>Distributor –> retailer. Yet other entities have had starter monies from vineyards. How can a vineyard fund a retail establishment legally?
I have my own opinion. what if a holding corp holds the retail establishment (retail establishment sells wines) The vineyards loan the monies to the holding corp. Holding corp funds retail establishment. Retail buys wines from vineyards and profits go to holding corp. Holding corp pays back loan to vineyards.
I hope this make a little sense, it sounds sound in my mind. If not then how should it be done?

I’m collecting empty wine bottles and I am in the procees of removing the labels. I soaked the bottles in hot water and the labels cames off. But the "stuff" that they put the labels on with is still there. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove it? I tried fingernail polish remover but it didn’t work that well. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

My mother- and father-in-law are celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary. We’ve got presents covered except we aren’t well versed in what each of the milestone anniversaries should get. In the case of the 40th, the gem is a ruby. We would like to include a nice ruby red wine with our gifts but neither of us are experienced enough to know what is good and what is not.
Can someone give some suggestions for a wine that is at least close to ruby red in color, respectable as a gift, and costs less than 0 a bottle? Can an impressive choice be had for this price range or do I need to move higher? The honored couple are by no means wine connoisseurs but would know a solid choice when they see it.

a certain wine is coming out that I’d love to have, but I won’t be able to drink it until october. it’ll be sold out long before then, so I’d need to order it now. if I store it properly, will it be all right until october? how should I store it? there’s also a cabernet in the same line - does that keep any better?
