My friend has about 5 cases of this wine that her father in law has had since the 1980’s. It is TJ Swanns which I’ve read is a "soda pop" wine like Boone’s Farm, and I don’t know if it is any good to drink anymore or not. Does anyone know if it is okay to drink it still? Two say they are apple wine and one says it is grape wine….

have a favorite inexpensive wine to share that you know is good? My recent purchase was Castle Rock Red Zinfandel (not that pink swill), and Castle Rock Chardonnay, & Cabernat…..this wine is excellent! Great vineyard in California…….any other good suggestions? ANd THanks! i.e. Inexpensive on these was 9.99 to 11.99 by the way……this company also sells very expensive wines.

I drink a glass of Cab. or Red Zin with dinner almost daily. My wife, not being a fan of hearty tasting reds ,discovered Peter Villa’s Red Delicious Table Wine in a box. A little light for my taste,but I was curious as to whether it offers the same health benefits as drinking my one glass of Cab. or Zin a day. Not to knock the wine, If the health benefits are there I will continue to buy it for my wife and use my better wines for special events.
