My brother, younger sister and I are a bit stumped as to what to get my older sister and her husband to be as a wedding gift. They have items on registries, but we want to get them something more personal.
I was hoping to hear from people who may have gotten/given memborable gifts and would like to share.
The gift can be expensive, because it is coming from all of us.
We know we would not like to get them:
- A trip anywhwere
- Anything having to do with electronics
- A wine/food club membership
- Art
So, with those boundaries set, do you have any ideas?
We are going to visit in Sonoma area next weekend.
Do any wineries sell used wine barrels?
Yes, I would like to use them for planters.
Less than a half barrel, possible?
I am looking for a site on the internet that will help me identify it. Maybe one that I can upload pics to. Or if someone that reads this thinks they can help I can email pics to them too. Thank you for your time.
I’m meeting my girlfriend’s parents for the first time. We’ve heard you should bring a gift, but we’re not sure what.
We’re traveling from New York to Edinburgh, Scotland, so the usual gifts of wine and flowers aren’t suitable.
I don’t want to look like I’m coming on too strong, so my gf and I think it would be best to get something from us both.
What do you think would be good? No flowers or wine!
Thanks.
Traveling with three young children and on a budget, so we are looking for clean, modest, motels in any of the towns mentioned above (i.e., the heart of Napa Valley wine country). If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks.
If there really are not any budget motels in the area, any recommendations for hotels in this area that would be on the less expensive side? It’s off-season now. When does peak tourist season begin again?
I have a world market around here and there is a ton of wine from all different countries. What should I get??
Nothing too strong
Sauce is not really a sauce. See I make the bow-tie pasta, drain it, put it in a bowl, and put Italian dressing on it, with cheese cubes and black olives. And serve it cold
I’m also making my signature cocktail - Manischewitz and vodka.
If I have time to either spend the day in Barossa or Hunter Valley, which would you recommend — both for the wine and the romantic scenery?
