Anyone else have problems with Vinotemp wine cooler?
I have the VT58, 58 bottle, under cabinet, stainless steel wine cooler. It’s not getting any power and comes with no instruction manual. The company doesn’t offer a warranty, and won’t even tell me who can repair this on the east coast. Forget calling the company, they offer no advice at all. You bought it… your problem. I am wondering how many other people have these useless things in their homes….

Actually, Vinotemp does have a warranty on their products. There should be a 1 year warranty on your VT58 and all of their products should come with an instruction manual, but if you didn’t get one, a lot of their manuals are online: http://www.vinotemp.com/Service-Support/Owners-Manuals.aspx . It looks like they do have one for the VT58 up there. There’s some Repair instructions for the VT-60 (which should be pretty similar to your VT58) on the Troubleshooting Repair page of their site in the Customer Service section. Did you try submitting a Service Request on their site? The one time I had problems with my Vinotemp, I called and they gave me a local repair person to contact, so you might want to try calling again. Otherwise, I’d suggest trying Mr. Appliance; they service almost everything and should have locations near you on the East Coast. As long as you’re getting power to that outlet, it’s probably just a control board or sensor that needs to be replaced and you can buy replacement parts from Vinotemp. Hope that helps and good luck!
Does it plugg in to a recepticle or is it hardwired ? Check your breaker panel first. If it has popped then U know. If not and it’s a plug in, unplug it, and plug in some other small appliance to see if it might be the outlet itself. While its out, look around the compressor and motor area for a reset switch, they are usually RED and they are not commonly put in an easy to find area. (garbage disposals are a plumbers dream for making fast cash on service calls) And what the heck, break out the vac and clean all the ghost farts out while you have gone that far. It may be very heavy to move so I suggest you call me over and drink the wine first just to lighten the load a bit. 58 bottles of wine would go well with the diamond encrusted lobster!!!!
