Anyone know of a great red wine $10 or cheaper?
I am not a big wine drinker and I am looking to give two bottles of red wine as gifts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Yellow tail - it’s from Austrailia and I have never heard anyone complain about it. It’s just under $10 a bottle and you can pick red, white or blush. They also have a reserve (if you really want to impress) but I think it’s just over $10.
snow creek is awesome.
BV pinot noir is a great inexpensive wine (about 7-9 a bottle)
you get what you pay for mostly
I wouldn’t gift anything less than 15 to 20 dollars, unless you’re feeling really lucky.
Blackstone Cabernet! It’s the best! Blackstone is a California winery. One of my favs! Good luck.
Lindeman’s Bin 50 Shiraz $5 a bottle.
47 Pound Rooster, Pinot Noir - you can find it most grocery stores and it is a wonderful Pinot Noir less than $10.
Toasted Head Red Zinfandel is also fabulous, probably a little more than $10.
I love Blackstone Merlot.
I like Beaujolais Villages - it’s easy-drinking, red Burgundy, good for summer. It’s not fancy but it’s tasty.
George Duboeuf and Louis Jadot are the most common ones in my area. A bottle usually goes for $9 or so in my town.
Go into a wine store and ask the owner - they are happy to give advice and help their customers pick a wine they will enjoy. I’ve never been pressured to spend more money than I wanted to.
Stone Valley merlot and cabernet sauvignon a great wine from California around $6.99 a bottle.
Walnut Crest Merlot…$6
Lindemans Shiraz (not to dry or fruity)…$6 to $8 in price
Yellow Tail Chardonney…$7
Beringer white zinfandel…$6
Sutter Home white zinfandel…$6
Zinfandel grapes are light, fruity and have light pink color-excellent summertime drinks beside rose wines. you can enjoy it with light meals such as salads or drink while watching tv.
A really great buy in red wine is:
De Martino 2005 Organic Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Maipo Valley are blended with Malbec and Carmenère grapes to produce a deep red wine with violet hues and an intense aroma of blackberry, cherries and truffle. Great volume and cherry flavor. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Ideal served with pasta, red meat, and aged cheese. ($11.99).
You might be able to find it in a local wine shop for under $10, but the normal online price is $11.99….still a great deal for the quality.
