There are many wineries in Napa Valley and they all have different ways of doing things .

Do make a point of tasting the old growth Russian River Zinfandels
Know that there are many two lane roads that wind thru the vineyards and you will be sharing them with farm vehicles and other tourists such as yourself who are imbibing in the grape….so be careful
Do make a point of visiting Point Reyes National Seashore

Well, I live very close to Yosemite National Park and I know they recently raised their entrance fee to $20.00 a car load. If you are 62 or older, you can apply for a "life time pass" to any national park in the nation for a one time fee of $10.00 . However, you must get the pass at the ranger’s station at the park entry so they can photograph you and gather all your information….not by mail. It is a wonderful value because anyone in your vehicle will get in free with your pass . There used to be a season pass or a life time pass available to other visitors but you will have to check if they still offer them for the National Park System. You must really plan on doing some traveling going to Yosemite which is at about 8,000 feet elevation all the way to Napa Valley which is near the coast. Napa itself is a beautiful bucolic town with many interesting sights to see , including many wineries dotting the landscape. There is a Napa Valley wine train that takes you to many of the more famous wineries and includes wine tasting , for a fee. If you plan to travel yourself get a map of all the wineries at any local store . Many wineries are free to view their facilities but ask a nominal fee for wine tasting . Of the larger ones guided tours are available . Smaller wineries offer some taste of their product and will gladly answer questions about their history. There are plenty of wineries to keep you occupied !
Yosemite:
If you arrive in your private car, the entrance fee is $20 per car.
$10 per person if arriving on foot, horseback, bicycle, motorcycle, or on a non-commercial bus or passenger van (free for those 15 years old and younger).
Not sure about Napa.
Yes for Yosemite. Just like all other National Parks, you have to pay a fee to visit. Go to http://www.nps.gov for more information.
For Napa wineries - probably not. Wineries are all privately owned, and they generally want you to visit so that you will buy their products. It’s generally free to get in. You might have to pay a fee at each winery to taste the wine, but they usually give you a lot in your glass, and will apply that fee toward any purchase.
