Are there other scenic outdoor things we can do in Napa and Sonoma other than wine tasting?
We’ll be in Napa and Sonoma for 2 days this Summer. I don’t want to be drunk all day just tasting wine. What are some other neat things we can do? Anything outdoorsy? Thanks!

In the Napa Valley they have Mt St Helena which is also a state park called Robert Louis Stevenson state park(he honeymooned here). You can hike up the mountain. Then after a good hike, have a mud bath in Calistoga, or just a wonderful massage and mineral hot tub soak. Calistoga also has a geyser to visit which is like the one in yellowstone but smaller. Next, you can rent a bike at the Calistoga bike shop and tour some of the smaller wineries. This is a great place to rent and ride without a guide showing you where to go. They give you a map, plus directions and off you go. Finally taste some olive oil in St Helena because they grow lots of olives here too. Don’t forget some very fine dinning from great BBQ ribs in Calistoga(Busters), to lunch atTaylor’s Refresher(now named Gotts, same food), or fantastic corn bread with grilled artichokess at Rutherford grill. Yummo!!!!!!!!!
You can go to the spas in Calistoga and St. Helena. You can drive to the Mendocino coast and the town which is a habitat for local artists and it might be of interest to you. You can drive down to Vallejo to some antiques stores. Vallejo needs the money. You can play golf at some of the resorts in the Napa and Sonoma valleys.

If you are in Sonoma, you are not far from Marin. There is amazing hiking (all skill levels) on Mt. Tamalpais with breathtaking views and really amazing redwood forests (waterfalls in the spring). There are also scenic overlooks along the coast and Muir Woods is a great redwood forest. You are also fairly close to Point Reyes, which has hiking, camping, great beaches, and a bunch of outdoorsy activities.
In Napa, Sterling Vineyard has a SkyTram that takes people up in the air for some really great views of the valley.
