The appropriate gift is something off her registry. Please ask where she is registered.
Usually bridal shower gifts are something needed for the home. I suggest you ignore the pregnancy when deciding on a bridal shower gift, and purchase something for the home.
See a registry checklist here:

Gifts like those on this list would be appropriate.
Getting her something for the kitchen would be appropriate. Giving a bottle of wine would be inappropriate.
gift certificate is a good idea.. you can give her a comfy robe, monogrammed "mrs. –so&so" whatever her last name will be.. perhaps put together a gift basket if you want to have fun with it..
Birth control pills would be great, but you know the problem there, the prescription thing.
So I would go with a kite and some string.
A bridal shower gift should be directed TO THE BRIDE. Taking a bottle of wine to a bridal shower is inappropriate unless it is a theme shower.

Your idea is fabulous!
Any bride worries about how she is going to look and wants to be pampered a bit for the wedding. But I imagine that being pregnant probably makes that worry sky rocket! lol
What could possibly be a better gift that the gift of comfort and beauty one of the most important days of her life?
Maybe you could put together a little comfort honeymoon or pre honeymoon gift basket. Include a bottle of non alcoholic wine or sparkling juice, some nice aroma therapy candle with vanilla and sandlewood scent s for relaxation, a sexy pair of pjs (lingerie suitable for a preg. bride, like silky top and bottom set) and a mani pedi gift certificate? If your on a budget just the nice candles and juice would be nice.. Candles double as a relaxation thing and decorations for the house.
have fun with it and good luck
The fact that she is pregnant has nothing to do with a bridal shower. And, I have never gone to a bridal shower where someone brought wine as a gift. Is the couple registered somewhere? Pick something off the registry. If not, then just think of all the things that are needed:
~ kitchen items (glasses, serving ware, dishes, cookware, bakeware, etc.)
~ bathroom items (towels, washcloths, etc.)
~ bedroom items (comforter, sheets, etc.)
Really, there are tons of things that you can think of.
A bottle of wine is still okay if that’s what you really want to do. She won’t be pregnant or breastfeeding forever! They could save it for an anniversary, which would be kind of neat.
Anything to outfit the bride & groom’s house is always appropriate. Crystal, picture frames, table linens, any householdy stuff. Things like that are traditional, and excellent gifts if you have an idea of the bride & groom’s tastes.
Get her a spa gift definitely. There is a such thing as a pregnancy massage (I wanted one SO BAD when I was pregnant) to make sure she’s relaxed on her big day.
Spa gift certificate is a great idea. You could also do anything housewares - a pretty crystal dish, a fun kitchen gadget, etc.
A gift certificate is perfect, or lingerie for her wedding night, or other nights, A nice robe and slipper set, Her favorite perfume or body wash as a set, Monogrammed towels, and/or robes. Good luck.
You can get the couple smth really original and sentimental that will remind them of you everytime they look at it: a 100% hand-made painting from their favorite photo together. I’ve discovered this website that turns photos into beautiful hand-made paintings and the prices are really affordable too. Here’s the link: http://www.paintedsouvenirs.com ..Good luck on finding the right gift!
While gift certificates are nice i love getting something special that someone thought of me and got. Here is a site for some inexpensive jewelry. I have yet to buy anything and not like it. http://www.kandwcrafts.com
