Decent mid-priced red wine gift suggestions?
My mother- and father-in-law are celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary. We’ve got presents covered except we aren’t well versed in what each of the milestone anniversaries should get. In the case of the 40th, the gem is a ruby. We would like to include a nice ruby red wine with our gifts but neither of us are experienced enough to know what is good and what is not.
Can someone give some suggestions for a wine that is at least close to ruby red in color, respectable as a gift, and costs less than 0 a bottle? Can an impressive choice be had for this price range or do I need to move higher? The honored couple are by no means wine connoisseurs but would know a solid choice when they see it.

Think Napa Valley or CA Central Coast for for good quality wines that are often priced reasonably well.
