Discount pass for the sites in Paris?? And what about bringing back wine and cheese?
So I will be in paris for a couple of days and was wondering if they have some sort of discount pass to see the sites - you know like a all-in-one thing like they have in some American cities -
Also, i would like to bring back some wine and cheese - does anyone know the rules pertaining to this? can I bring back cheese? and how much wine?
Also I will be in France for 6 days - think I can get buy on 0 (i’m not paying for lodging) I’m not going to roll like a high roller - mostly just eating food fromt he vendors - maybe one nice dinner night.
Sorry I’m just kind of nervous - mainly because I don’t know any french!

I agree that $500 for six days exclusive of lodging is enough. Paris is not cheap but it is not as expensive as many people make it out to be.
You can have very nice meals for 15 euros and the quality of food at even the most modest cafe is of a fairly high standard.
There is no problem bringing back wine but other food products, including cheese, is something you should not try. There are several variables and you are likely to find you cannot bring it in to the USA.
Don’t be concerned about your lack of French speaking ability. The fact is that, according to a recent poll, 16% of Frenchmen speak fluent English and the majority say they speak at least some. Among people in the hospitality business, English is almost universal.

My opinion is that it is only useful if you intend to run from one place to another. Unless you intend to try to see 3 or 4 museums a day it is cheaper just to pay the admission. also, the fact is that many tourist sights are free. Notre Dame, for example, is a working church and it costs nothing to go in.
Yes, you should be able to get by on $500 a day if you do not have to pay for lodging.
Bringing back wine to the U.S. is covered by customs, but also state law. You can bring back one liter of liquor (that would include wine), unless the state where you land has a stricter law.
Cheese is governed by Department of Agriculture rules, and generally you cannot bring it back unless it is packaged and marked "for export". (You can usually find such packages at the airport as you’re leaving.)
