Frig. or left on the counter but never in the freezer
wine can partially freeze in the freezer. I would either due a fast chill in the freezer(keep an eye on it) or puit it in the fridge for a couple hours before serving. I find the fridge method to be safer.
the only thing I put in the freezer and leave there is vodka
Follow this chart from Food and Wine. The temps and times go in order:
fridge
freezer
bucket of ice
Sparkling: ideal temp. 45
5 hours
40 min.
25 min.
Crisp White: ideal temp. 50
3.5 hours
30 min.
20 min.
Rich White: ideal temp. 55
2 hours
25 min.
15 min.
Big Red: ideal temp. 65
45 min.
15 min.
10 min.
Putting a wine in the freezer will ruin it if left to freeze, just follow the chart and watch the time. Enjoy.
Alcohol doesn’t freeze. It doesn’t really matter whether or not you put it in the freezer or refrigerator. The freezer will chill it faster, if your in a hurry, but the refrigerator will do just fine as well.
Red wine should be at about 62 degrees white at about 56. So ired in a cool area and white in the fridge. Most people serve their wines too warm and too cold so the "general" rule is to take your whites out of the fridge for 20 min before serving and put your reds in the fridge for 20 min.
Niether put it in a bucket with lots of ice, i mean you could use the fridge but the bucket works loads better
Wine in the refrigerator should not freeze.
If left in the FREEZER for a long time, the water in the wine will freeze out of solution and form a slush, probably breaking the bottle in the process.
The liquid that remains after the slush forms will have a higher alcohol content than the wine, but will have lost some of the character of the wine.

in the fridge
in a wine cellar ! It all depends on the wine.. .it can be a wine that is suggested to serve room temp or one that is suggested to chill. never in freezer as it makes it taste awful.
I keep my wine in a dedicated wine refrigerator. I used to think that leaving it on a rack or putting it in a regular fridge wouldn’t make much difference but after using a wine cooler - there is!
I used to underestimate how much light, wrong temperature, humidity and vibration can all effect the quality of the wine.
Thanks
