Does your town offer beer & wine delivery to your door? thinking of running a local company that does this?
A friend and I want to look into running a beer delivery in our town. Currently in research stage, and wanted to see if this is currently offered in your town, and your thoughts on the matter???
Any insight is greatly appreciated? How to get loan, beer & wine license? Can you only service wet areas? what would you pay, more or the same as now? would you tip the driver?
absolutely anything is appreciated! Thanks.

First, liquor licenses are very expensive. You can apply for one, those are almost never approved, so the best way to get one is to buy it from another establishment.
Second, any place that I ever seen do this, delivery is not their primary means of making profit. Its a convenience store or liquor store that offers delivery. For instance, there is a restaurant called Pizza Tower that you can order wine/beer with a delivery order.
Third, there is the added trouble of verifying Id's and the possible liability of selling to a minor.
I think this a great idea and really hope it works out for you. Once all the obstacles are worked out you will make bank!!!
Sorry I can't be of any assistance to you, the county I live in is a dry county. You can't purchase beer, wine, or liquor at all in our county. Sounds like a good idea for a more metropolitan area. Good luck in your venture.
I'm not sure where…But there was a place that did that, they got busted for it though, not sure why it was on the Minnesota news like a week or two ago.
I own a liquor store here in Indiana but I dont know what state you live in so you need to check with the Excise police of your state and the ATB and they will answer all your questions that you have .
In Los Angeles a company called Pink Dot offers this type of service — good luck!!

Check out their website….might give you some ideas!
you can get a license from the Liquor Control Board
you would have to get a liquor license and depending on what state you live in, it might be harder to get one in your state then other states.
that sounds like a great idea though, and i hope you succeed and by the way, do you live in Ohio by chance?
It's a great idea, but the legal paperwork and liscensing expense is going to be a killer. Plus, the places that do that usually attract a lot of underage buyers, which leads to a lot of liability. I would focus on high end liquors, regular buyers, shipments and deliverys, versus being an "on call" service.
