For those who have watched Mondovino, a question about the family who owns the Yacochuya winery ….?
why does clearly European (and not indigenous Argentinian) family seem so vehemently racist about the descendents of the people who occupied the land before European settlement?
and if this family is so superior and ambitious, why do they outsource the winemaking to a French consultant, why don’t they use their superior racial abilities to make their own wine?

First I do not know this family or situation but I know a few things about people.
All peoples are racists. Some are much better at hiding it or lying about it by saying it is just our way/tradition. But those excuses have not held up for people of European ancestry in the USA and it will not hold up for others during the same here now as well. In the USA we have people from all around the world and many are racists. They marry only within their race. They talk about others in groups and treat them as inferior. These are racist actions and gives proof to all people being racist.
"IF" they (the family you mention) are racist it has no correlation to their knowledge of wine making. The French are well known wine experts so outsourcing the wine-making to a French consultant is just a wise business decision. Many people look at all Europeans as being racists and this view is racists and so they doing/think this needs to look within themselves before judging others. Despite this many people are not racists and they remain the hope for a peaceful future.
