How do I ship wine back to San Diego?
I will be flying into SF and my first stop is Napa and Sonoma where I will be purchasing some wine from different wineries. I do not want to tag all the wine with me. How do I go about shipping the wine back to San Diego?

Have the winery ship it home for you. Most all wineries will be glad to do this for you for a small charge, plus they have the shipping supplies right at the wineries.
most wineries here in the valley will ship them for you. Or if you want to wait until you are ready to leave. In napa there is a wine shipping place that will pack and ship it. Their name is Buffalo’s Shipping Post.
Ask the dealers in Napa and Sonoma if they have a delivery service that will help your situation.
Would you trust the U.S. Mail ?
(Something that would upset me…)
I’d get back home and find the same bottle of wine in my local liquor store that I saw in California !!!
As Time Travler says, you can have the wineries ship it for you. If you don’t wish to buy whole cases at each winery you will probably be able to buy a few bottles at different wineries have have the last one ship the case for you. Rather than buy bottles, you can also sign-up for wine clubs at your favorite wineries and receive regular shipments at your home — typically two bottles every three months although the structures of wine clubs vary. If you do join a wine club but do not buy a bottle be sure to ask for your tasting fee back. Tasting fees are typically $10 in Sonoma County and $20 in Napa but you get that discounted off wine you buy.
