How do you remove a label from a bottle of domestic wine?
My sister was visiting me from out of state and bought a bottle of wine which had a label which impressed her. I’d like to remove it but don’t have a clue how to do it without damaging the label. Any suggestions?

what others have said, soak in water
if its PAPER however, i would recommend using a piece of clear plastic laminate 1st… to protect the surface of the label, and use a razor and trim the laminate down so the water can get to the edges of the paper label. Not doing this, some inks might lift off the label, or parts of the paper will desolve.
if its a plastic label, i would recommend one of the adhesive removers, goo gone works well… just run a thin line around the edges, wait a few hours, and it should start peeling well… then peel back as much as you can without putting too much stress, if it seems firm, reapply some of the remover.
Soak it in warm water for awhile and then use a razor to assist in peeling it off.
Works for beer labels.
put the empty bottle in cold water
try wetting the label with a sponge or real damp cloth for a few minutes and then begin to peel. where it sticks, apply more wet soaks and continue with your finger or a utensil to take the label off.
soak in hot soapy water then peel off with finger nails
check Martha Stewart.com…..she really likes to save labels !!
