How long does white wine keep.?
I have a bottle of wine from 1996 and was wondering if its still good. Its a 1996 Saint-Veran white burgandy wine. It is unopened and was stored on its side in a wine rack.
Thanks for all the quick response. I am enjoying it right now.

Most white wine is made to be consumed young. However, if it was stored properly, it might be okay. Only way to know is to try some. Either way, it will not hurt you.
.
It should be okay as it sounds like it was cellared correctly.
I’ll help you drink it though
yer its fine it tastes better the longer u keep it
Of course it is good, the older the wine the better it is, if it was stored correctly. Plus, that is only what 13 years… wait another 10
and yes, put me down as well for helping you drink it
OH MY GOD!!!! Are you serious?!?!?!
Wine keeps FOREVER!!! All alchohol, except beer, wine coolers, and other such drinks with a very low (or useless) alchoholic content.
Whisky, Vodka, Tequila, Rum, etc. all stay forever, including wine.
In fact, alchohol gets better and better as it ages.
It should last many more years.
Clearly not a problem I have ever encountered…Keeping forgotten alcohol in the house for 13 years…Pop it!The aroma should tell you alone if you wanna drink it…Depending on conditions stored… temp…sunlight. If were optimum,it’d be my bet ,it will be exquisite!
