How many bottles of wine can I bring to the US duty free (qt-mL equivalency)?
I am currently in Spain. I found a wine I really really like and I would like to bring it back to the US for my family and friends to try. On a website about US customs limits, they say you can bring 1 US Quart back to the US without duties to be paid.
How many bottles does this equal? What size bottle of wine would be best?
By the way the type of wine I want to buy comes in two Bordeaux type Bottle Wine Case of 0.75 liters.

I think it’s 2 liters, but you can always pay duty on extra and they will let you take it.
Depends on the customs person and the country.
When I was in Mexico a few years ago, I brought back 5 liter bottles of Kahlua expecting to pay duty. They let me thru without having to pay.
I believe it’s two standard sized wine bottles per person.
