Is it OK to ship wine to North Carolina?
Hi,
I need to ship about 7 bottles of wine to a friend in North Carolina.
Is it legal to do it? I read a lot of stuff on the web, but they all pertain to wineries, and wine vendors. But I’m sending it in my personal capacity. Where do I get the permit to send wine to North Carolina?
Would you use USPS for this?

No, its illegal to ship wine from state to state.
Permit? You would need a major distributors license.
You can try to overnight it but you cant tell fedex or usps whats in the box.
I would do one or 2 bottles at a time and mark it as something else.
They’d probably all get through.
