Need a recipe using a sweet fruit wine?
I purchased some Missouri strawberry wine and it's sickeningly sweet - I don't want to toss it!

Heat olive oil, add a couple cloves of garlic. Once the garlic lightly browned, remove it. Salt and pepper and flour some chicken breasts and saute them on very low heat in the garlic oil. When the chicken is almost done, add sliced mushrooms and the wine. Cover and let simmer a couple of minutes.

Mix it half and half with Club Soda and squeeze a lime or lemon wedge into it to make a wine spritzer.

Make wine jelly and give it out as a christmas present. can be served with crackers and cream cheese:
INGREDIENTS
3 1/2 cups wine
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 (2 ounce) package dry pectin
4 1/2 cups white sugar
DIRECTIONS
Combine wine, lemon juice, and pectin in a large saucepot. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Return to a rolling boil. Boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim foam off top, if necessary.
Ladle hot jelly into hot, sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Tighten 2 piece lids. Process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath.
Here is a recipe from Mount Bethel Winery using strawberry wine:
STRAWBERRY WINE CAKE
Ingredients
1 pkg (3oz) strawberry gelatin
1 pkg white cake mix (18.5 oz)
8 oz of egg substitute (equal to 4 eggs)
1/3 cup of applesauce
1 cup strawberry wine
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325F. Combine gelatin and cake mix, add egg substitute, applesauce and strawberry wine.
Beat with mixer on low speed until moistened, then beat on medium speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl frequently.
Spray "Pam" cooking spray and line bottoms of a bundt cake pan with wax paper or lightly flour.
Sprinkle pecan pieces in bottom of pan. Pour in batter and bake in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes.
Make glaze while cake is baking. When cake is done, take from oven and pour two-thirds of glaze over the
warm cake while still in the pan. Let cool 30 minutes. Turn cake out of the pan and let it cool. Finally, add
powdered sugar to remaining glaze until thickened and pour over cake.
GLAZE
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup light margarine
1/2 cup strawberry wine
Mix ingredients together and bring to a HARD boil.
