Once you open a bottle of red or white wine, how long can you keep it in the refrigerator for cooking purposes before throwing it out?

You can leave it for a long time, @ least 6 months. It’s ok if it tastes a bit off if you are using it for cooking, it’ll still taste great in your food! I have red wine I use for french onion soup that is years old and it still turns out fine.
A few days provided the cork is replaced. Wouldn’t leave it as long as a week otherwise you end up with vinegar.
