I love boxed wine. Since I'm the only one my house who drinks it, I tend to go for those. They last a long time, especially if you're only drinking a glass or two at any given time. The tap keeps the air from getting in and spoiling the wine.

Anyone who says boxed wines are crap, are just wine snobs. Yes, a bottled wine has a fresher, cleaner taste to it, but there's nothing really "wrong" with the boxed wines.

Peter Villa is a good label. They have all kinds of wines to choose from.

As for the health benefits... I believe that any red wine will have a good effect on your heart, when drunk in moderation.

If the table wine is too sweet for your taste, you could try one of the drier varieties. Your wife might even find that she likes a slightly drier wine than the table wine. (Surprised myself, when I made that discovery.)

Bottom line, drink what you like. If you like it, it's good. If you don't like it, then it's garbage and needs to be pitched.
