purposing to Girl Friend on our Napa/ Sonoma Valley wine trip. looking for the nicest/best winery to do it at?
i am planning a trip to Napa Valley CA with my girl friend in the May time frame. However this is not just a normal vacation, i plan to pop the question there, being that my GF and i are very big wine fans and one of our first dates was to a few wineries in VA. so my question to you is which wineries in the Napa and Sonoma Valley’s would be worthy enough for a marriage purposal. i would like to do it at one that has one of the best views and has great wine. I don’t want to do it at a winery that has bad wine do to the fact that we will forever be connected to that winery. Thanks for your help on this one!!!!!

In Sonoma county, I would recommend Ferrai-Carano. They have absolutely stunning gardens, nice wine and views.
In Napa County, I would do Sterling Vineyards, Schramsberg, Domaine Carneros for wineries or Auberge Du Soliel resort. All have very nice views of the Napa Valley.And Sterling & Domaine Carneros have nice wines. DC has good bubbly and Pinot Noir. Schramsberg has fantastic bubbly and great tour. and their grounds are quite pretty with a garden and such tucked up on the western hillside.
"Proposal"…the word is propose, not purpose.
Just a suggestion: whatever place you decide to use, make sure and talk with the wine tasting room manager and let them know what you have planned. Maybe they can do something special for you guys. That would be a good surprise! Also, though Ferrari-Carano as are the others mentioned above are beautiful places they are very big. You may want a small place that is more intimate.
Soo you want to be forever connected to a winery and good wine, how sad. Good luck.
