Shipping wine by overnight air?
A couple of bottles of a very nice cabernet and I need to ship it about 1000 miles. I will wrap it exceptionally well and I’m not worried about that but what about flying in an unpressurized aircraft?

Well, considering you can’t carry on liquids on an airplane anymore, anyone traveling with wine would have to put it in their luggage which rides in an unpressurized part of the plane. I’ve done it myself. In other words - no problem there. I would suggest making sure it is not a violation to ship liquor with whatever shipping company you are using. And be sure to buy actual wine shipping materials. Wineries and wine stores ship wine all the time using these types of materials http://www.boxvendor.com/wineshippers-styrofoamandcorrugatedboxcombo.aspx
It should be fine. Especially since it’s not a "bubbly". Over the holidays I mailed out wine and champagne. Be sure to mark the box "FRAGILE" and "GLASS" but don’t write wine on it. I think you’re not allowed to mail anything that contains alcohol.
