I want to make my girlfriend a little dinner, but we both live in the res halls at our school and my RA is pretty anal about alcohol. Don’t get me wrong, I love wines, but you know how it is. Also, I’m not even sure if my girlfriend likes wine, what’s a nice alternative to have in case we can’t have it at her place or she doesn’t like wine?
I had a bottle of minute maid berry punch in my room for about 2 weeks. I had a similar bottle in there for about an hour and when I went to get it I grabbed the wrong bottle. When I drank it, it tasted nasty but wasn’t quite sure what it was. Then I smelled it and it smelled like alcohol. So the juice was fermented in 2 weeks without any yeast. Is that possible?
iam a 59 yr.old man and i had a 4 way by-pass back in 1996 and my cardiologist told me to drink 2 shots of red wine a day, once in the morning and once at night, but i told him, i didnt drink alcohol, he said red grape juice would be the next best thing to wine. what benefits do red grape juice offer for a persons heart?, and is there anything else i can drink that would be any benefit to my heart? thanks folks and you have a nice day!

Also, for you alcohol drinkers, how much is smirnoff usually, since it is popular.
I am not underage, if that is what you are going to ask. I bearly drink, only on vacations. I am having a party and a few friends offered to bring a bottle, but I offered instead.

Over here in America they paint the picture that everyone at any age drinks wine and that is why there crimes relating to alcohol are so low because it is isn’t a big deal and was introduced young. I also wondered which wine is the healthiest I forget if it is red or white wine?

My in-laws are coming into town for a few nights & we can’t fit everyone in our little rental house. We have good friends who are empty nesters with a huge home, who’ve offered to let my in-laws stay in a few of their empty rooms, instead of paying the outrageous hotel prices in our area. What would be an appropriate thank you gift? I don’t want to be too small, but don’t want to get too big that makes them feel awkward either… ideas? Hint: They don’t drink any alcohol (so the popular wine option is out in this situation).
I know Russians are genetically resistant to alcohol but this is ridiculous… Is the wine defective? I checked the label and it does say "Contains alcohol", I think I got scammed…

On Christmas Day my brother & sister in law where giving their 2 1/2 year old sips of wine & beer all night long. At one point the kid chugged the rest of the moms wine and she just asked her hubby to go get her more because her son drank the rest, they didn’t even care. Then I see the dad holding him on his lap and actually offering the kid beer. It’s not like the child was tugging at the bottle or asking for it, the dad just offered it and gave it to him. On more than 1 occasion I must add. Between all the beer & wine these parents were giving him I’m surprised he was still walking. LOL
They also have 2 old kids almost 5 & 7, I’ve never seen them give them any alcohol but it wouldn’t surprise me now.
I have 2 kids & have never even thought about giving them sips. They’ve asked but I’d just explain that it’s for adults & when they grow up that’s when they can have some.
I just don’t agree….what are your thoughts?
Hello, I know Chicago is notoriously strict for ID age checks in bars/clubs/restaurants re. alcohol (friends in their late 50s had to show ID to get wine in a restaurant, and other friends aged late 40s have to automatically show ID to get into bars). Maybe it’s the same throughout Illinois, I don’t know (I know it’s not that bad everywhere in the USA).
I’m not in my 40s or 50s but I have a UK photo driving licence and will be spending a few weeks in Chicago. I don’t want to carry my passport around all the time, so I’m hoping places will accept a non-Illinois licence. What do you reckon?
you "ferment" the fruit in the wine, then drink the wine and eat the fruit which is now loaded with most of the alcohol. It’s been years since I made it. Making it today for a dinner party. Need the name of the drink in case someone asks. Thanks
