HI, I was gifted with a wine bottle recently by my friend. I never drank wine or any other alcohol before. Someone told me that if a wine bottle is opened you have to complete it and it cannot be stored.. .Is this true ?
Also, when to take wine? Before food or after food ?
How much wine can a adult man or woman take ?
How do we find which wine is good … is that based on price ?

Please someone help me with these questions.

Thanks.

I made 5 gallons of Blackberry and apple wine, and let it ferment out for 3 weeks until it ceased. I then racked it and tested the strength, which is 9.5% alcohol. I wish to increase this to 13% at least. How do I do this, and what do I add to the wine.
I need to know how much sugar…..and yeast to add

Hey all,
I am a first year student at college this year. My family makes fondue every year for Easter. I"m feeling homesick, and since I can’t go home for Easter, I want to make fondue here for me. Trouble is, I’m not 21, so I can’t buy alcohol to put into it. Does anyone know any recipes that do not require any alcohol? Thanks!

Is it Ok to give chicken or meat cooked with wine to children? For example Chicken Marsala?
I think I’ve heard that the alcohol evaporates when cooking, but I still wonder how much really does, and if it’s safe to feed a child this.

Please only responses that are a fact or medically founded instead of just a judgmental opinion. Thank you.

And in case you are wondering: No, I haven’t feed my child this, that is why I’m asking first.

I really want to do cheese fondue, but I don’t want to use wine or any other liquid that contains alcohol. Can you help me give a good recipe for doing cheese fondue without the use of wine or any other alcoholic liquid? Thanks loads.

I’m from France and my parents offered us small cups of alcohol during meals since I was a toddler, especially wine since we drink it so much in France. A bit of wine and beer is good for health, and in my country families give their children alcohol during meals under supervision and almost never develop alcoholism. Would you allow children to drink alcohol is small amounts? I personally say yes and will do this with my children when I have them. It teaches responsible drinking habits. Unlike in the U.S., where children are not legally allowed any alcohol till their 21st birthday… that’s outrageous. So give your opinions below.

I am going to Detroit, and subsequently Windsor, ON, next month. As breweries and beer are a hobby of mine, I’m going to visit a brewery/winery or two. Since you cannot bring liquids with you on a plane anymore, does anyone know of the laws pertaining to shipping/carrying liquids and alcohol across country lines? Thanks in advance!

I’ve wanted to go there for quite some time, and I’ve heard Napa can’t be beat for scenery and cuisine. This might seem like a silly question, but has anyone found it to be too pretentious? We’re not poor, but we’re not wealthy either. Will we stick out like sore thumbs if we go there in Target clothes and renting an economy car?
If that’s not a problem, then what are some of the good places to go?
Drinking and driving, no problemo there. My husband actually never drinks alcohol at all. He’s willing to go for all the outdoors stuff (he’s really into photography) and the food, but the pleasure of enjoying the wine would be all mine. :)

I need to order a fairly large number of fine wines to give as gifts and the best deals I can find are online However, I live in Texas and some places cannot ship here due to state laws. Is there a reputable online store that you of that can ship wines/alcohol to Texas. Thanks!
