… I got a lovely bottle of Syrah Rose at a vinyard a month or so back and want to make a nice dinner for my bf that will go with it. I know white wine goes with chicken and fish, and red with beef and lamb… what on earth does pink go with?

My bf makes wine. We did a batch last October and were ready to bottle it this weekend when we noticed one fruit fly in it. Is the batch lost? What does a fruit fly do to wine?

Some people recommend that I should never take wine with my BF unless I plan to hit the sack with him. I never understand this. He keeps offering wine to me during dinner. Are his intentions noble? Any clues?
My BF & I are going to the central coast the 2nd week of March for what will be the first trip to Paso, Napa, SLO for both of us. We've got the hotel situation pretty much under control, but I'm wondering what I might need to know about must-see vineyards, restaurants, attractions, etc. And do we need to RSVP to any of the wineries? What is the average price per tour/tasting? What's the average time spent at each vineyard (in order to figure roughly how many places we can see in one day)? We will be driving from LV, into Paso, making our way up to SF within a week's time and would like to get the most out of this trip as possible, so any suggestions are much appreciated!
