vineyards, the question is, who was drinking all that wine? The caution of getting drunk and drunkenness is mentioned throughout the texts, Jesus performed the first miracle of his ministry by changing water into wine and bypassed the process of planting, growing, pressing the grape and fermenting. While I am not saying we should try to get drunk,I’m saying it is okay to drink a little wine, or beer if you prefer, and if they served beer after adult sunday school and church service, a lot more husbands would go to church with their wives on sunday, and there would be no more sunday ‘blue-laws’ or riffs between bars too close to churches! Just a thought for comment, so no lectures please!
Wine is not weak if made right1 ever hear of brandy? Yes the water was poor quality so wine or wine near grape juice was somewhat more pure and free of harmful content!
Martin S, yes there were many small grape patches, but also many elaborate vineyards with many wells and irrigation systems that are styled after to this day!
MickyGG, Jesus and his and our father are one, to you that seems to be some mystery!

my boss is a wine collector. He told me in passing that he loves fruit cake. I bought the perfect fruitcake (with brandy) and I need a good wine to go with it.

Hey there,
IVe decided to go with brandy to finish off the fermentation of my wine, to keep it from starting again from sweetening.
But Im afraid I dont know how much I should use (per gallon) and dont know how long I should wait before racking it after I add it.
Also , the type of brandy that works best?
but how long do I leave it sit before racking after I add the brandy?

I’m not planning in making any wine or brandy, but I’m writing a story that needs a suitable native alchohal, not one made from imported friuts.
