Before you tell me that’s a big no no, you need to know that i made this wine in 2 weeks from welch’s grape juice and it is stored in the original welch’s grape juice containers. its not like this a fine wine or anything close. im just wondering if the fridge will completely ruin the taste because a wine cooler is absolutely out of budget.

So…we are on a budget and wine bottles were free….would it be weird to use a clear wine bottle with labels removed with a single hydrangea in it on wedding reception tables ? (there would also be scattered votives and bottle/vase would be sitting on a centerpiece mirror..

Yeah! I have never been to California but need to go so bad. I’ll fly into Oakland about 1:30p on a Saturday. I’m young, fit, and don’t mind camping a lot to cut down on expenses. I just need to know the best places to see and sleep in Yosemite and wine country. Best sights and campgrounds in Yosemite, best vineyards and cheapest accomodations in Napa and Sonoma, and anything worth doing in San Fran and Oakland. Can I avoid renting a car for this little circuit? I’m thinking two nights of "luxury" in hotels (but lets keep the rates "budget") out of seven would be about right. Where’s the can’t-miss food at here, too?

I am 22 and have been dating my boyfriend for 2+ years. This past year I moved away from my family and live near him. His family has been nice and always invite me and include me in things and are always available if i needed them. Even though ive been here for a year i still dont really know them all too too well. I am moving out of state back home due to a job change. We are going out to dinner because I am moving and feel like I should give them a thank you gift for the past year. I couldnt think of anything they arent sweets lovers and rarely go out to eat. His mom drinks wine and his dad occasionally. Would a nice bottle of red wine with a thank you card be appropriate? I really just want them to like me, and make a good ‘last’ impression. I am on a budget.

my grandpa loves to brew wine, and of coarse drink it. he loves to be able to do it himself, and i would really like to build an amazing wine cellar for him, but stay within a good budget so i can seem efficient. we are installing the wine cellar in the corner of a 12′ ceiling garage. i am an electrician and very handy with everything already so i will be doing all the work.

i think that i should put in some laddice and surround the corner like a semi room, or changing room would be like in a clothing store. i am also going to hang a chandelier and some high hats with eye balls on them. i will also be portioning off this portion of the garage with a pergo floor. the texture will be : hard wood wide plank medium dark tones.

is there anything that i am missing or should add or to be extra nifty with?

I believe it holds 4 bottles of wine. I would certainly like to buy a few bottles, however I know absolutely nothing about wines other than the fact that white zinfandel gives me a terrible headache.

I would like to get a few good brands as many of my friends love wine - and I would eventually like to serve it.
I don’t want to get cheapo brands (that will show my ignorance of wine) but I am also on a budget and can’t get majorly expensive wines that are going to break the bank.

Can anyone suggest some good tasting, reasonably priced wines that I can start my collection with?

I am planning an event for my company’s annual conference, and am looking to book an area/private room in a club or restaurant for a party the last evening. Our budget is not huge (around -/pp) and it’s something conference attendees would pre-pay for when they register for the meeting. It would be great if we could do the party on a boat, but that is looking way too pricey. for someone who does not drink (yeah, you read it right - does NOT drink), how should I pick a bottle of wine as a gift for a friend who loves wine? I walked into a wine store and flat-out told the sales person that I needed assistance to pick the best bottle they have in the house under a certain budget. the guy did help and offered a bottle. and yes, i bought it. but then i went home, googled the bottle and found no info. i have no clue if i got ripped off for something that could be bad sales in the house or if i found a treasure that is waiting to be popular. how do i know what to do next time i walk into a store ? ps. the bottle i bought says "casado morales seleccion privada". so i only know it’s from casado morales winery but not further info of the actual location where the bottle is produced.

We are fortunate enough to be able to bring alcohol to our wedding. We have 100 people coming, with at least half that can drink like they belong in a fraternity. We would like to keep within our budget so we are going to have beer and wine only. How many bottles of wine and kegs (or cases) of beer should we get?
I should also mention it is at a hotel out of town (beach wedding) so all guests will be staying in the same hotel where the reception is being held. No one will be driving
