Specifically a 1974 Krug Cabernet?
I know NOTHING about wine - and i really want to get my boss a good gift for X mas - since he GAVE me Red Wings tickets - I have heard from around the office that he loves Cabernet Red Wine - whatever that means lol?
can anyone tell me a good type of wine to buy? is there a specific brand that is better than another?

Can anyone tell me if there is a good but " less expensive " wine of the month" club,,, how much did it cost per month? If you were a member, what kind of wine did you get, was it good, or not so much? I love Chardonney, and Cabernet and Merlot.. But I will try just about any kind of wine..
Its a cabernet and has a yellow alligator on it.
I bought it a two months ago and kept it in my room since I don’t have a wine cellar. It’s pretty hot where I live here; the average temp is 86 degrees and we turn on the AC only every so often.
This is a cabernet, 2006, nothing too fancy but not cheap (mid-range).
Will it go bad? Or will most not notice a difference in taste?
I am trying to stock my wine cellar and am interested in hearing any recommendations.
I particularly like red wine, especially australian and south american blends. One of my favorites is Penfolds Cabernet Shiraz.
I am not fundamentally opposed to whites. I am fond of Muscato (sp?) and Pinot Grigio.

A welthy friend and I enjoyed a few glasses of a 93 cabernet which she got from her basement. I just want to know how expensive of a wine was I sipping on. Its an extremely good wine full body and the legs on this wine was about 1/4 in apart

A couple of bottles of a very nice cabernet and I need to ship it about 1000 miles. I will wrap it exceptionally well and I’m not worried about that but what about flying in an unpressurized aircraft?
Just built a small (282 plants) vineyard in the backyard. about 1/2 is syrah, 1/2 is cabernet souvignon. We’re looking for some creative names for the vineyard (not the actuall wine). Any ideas are helpful.
