hello,

I am hosting a cheese and wine function and was wondering which wines go best for such a thing? The snack table will consist of cheeses, salty stuff on sticks - you know party food.

I was thinking four different wines - two white and two red, what do you reckon?

Can someone provide some background on this please?

in my french class, we have to pick a topic and do some type of art textile to represent our topic. i know that french cut their cheeses in different ways, but how can i represent that in an "artsy" project? it’s due on wednesday.

So… I may have gotten in over my head promising a classy-like wine and cheese party to my friends (luckily were all close so if it sucks they’ll still love me). I have an idea of the wines and cheeses I will have, but do I serve crackers? Ritz, triscuits, or do I have to go crazy and get melba and crositni things? FYI, I’m serving fruit too. Anything else that is relatively simple I can serve these kids (like no more than 2-3 steps further than opening a box). Thanks for your help!!
LOL…it’s not for actual kids…I just ca;; my friends "the kids"…I assure you we are all well over 21…some of us treading pretty close to 30:)
also….my evil plan is to buy all of the stuff I need at Trader Joe’s…any special items from there anyone can suggest? They have a rally good pesto/cheese tort thing I plan on getting.

Help! I was just hired to work in a deli/sandwich shop that specializes in wines and cheeses. i have experience with making sandwiches, slicing meat, etc. but i know little about fine wines and cheeses as well as pairing the two. is there any way i can learn the basics before i begin my new job in 1 week?

There’s a wine shop near where I live which is offering a monetary prize for whomever can give them a new name. The owners select the name on the basis of whichever they like best, of course. It is a relatively average-sized shop, with a small area for eating (you can get food there, too). They make some of their own wine, and they also sell a few cheeses.
What do you think would be a good name?

I have some fancy cheeses to serve; should I just chop it up or is there a particular way that looks fancy? And do I need to serve crackers or is that tacky?

The gift is for my sister and brother-in-law and they are very experienced with wine, so I would like something special and unique. I came across several Wine of the Month clubs online but I’m wondering if anyone has tried them and, if so, which ones you prefer.

Also, do you know of any Wine of the Month clubs that also include accompanying cheeses or crackers or anything with their shipments?

Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you knew of a very good caterer offering cheese and wine party services and you are having an event would you pay to have a cheese and wine party done. This would include platters of sliced cheeses with grapes and berries, assortments of crackers and biscuits and a variety of wines to match the cheeses. Have you ever been to a cheese party? Would you like to have one? When do you think they are suitable? What would you want or do not want to have at a cheese and wine party?

I have gotten some variety of cheeses, mostly aged. What would be a good wine to compliment the cheese?

Hey! I’m throwing a girls night soon and we are going to have a wine and cheese tasting. Are there certain cheeses that go better with some wines than others? Any pairing suggestions?
