There’s a wine shop near where I live which is offering a monetary prize for whomever can give them a new name. The owners select the name on the basis of whichever they like best, of course. It is a relatively average-sized shop, with a small area for eating (you can get food there, too). They make some of their own wine, and they also sell a few cheeses.
What do you think would be a good name?

I have some fancy cheeses to serve; should I just chop it up or is there a particular way that looks fancy? And do I need to serve crackers or is that tacky?

The gift is for my sister and brother-in-law and they are very experienced with wine, so I would like something special and unique. I came across several Wine of the Month clubs online but I’m wondering if anyone has tried them and, if so, which ones you prefer.

Also, do you know of any Wine of the Month clubs that also include accompanying cheeses or crackers or anything with their shipments?

Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you knew of a very good caterer offering cheese and wine party services and you are having an event would you pay to have a cheese and wine party done. This would include platters of sliced cheeses with grapes and berries, assortments of crackers and biscuits and a variety of wines to match the cheeses. Have you ever been to a cheese party? Would you like to have one? When do you think they are suitable? What would you want or do not want to have at a cheese and wine party?

I have gotten some variety of cheeses, mostly aged. What would be a good wine to compliment the cheese?

Hey! I’m throwing a girls night soon and we are going to have a wine and cheese tasting. Are there certain cheeses that go better with some wines than others? Any pairing suggestions?

What are some good cheeses to have, I will be having several different wines as I have invited 50 people. Also any good apetizers that any of you can suggest too that would be great!

Which baked goods go well with cheese and/or wine? More focus on the cheese aspect, as in specialty cheeses. Thanks.

He keeps insisting on some meat. so that may be involved.

For "dessert", we may have a few shortbread cookies (biscuits).

What’s the best wine and cheese?

I don’t want cheddar, swiss, monteray jack, or any other same old same cheeses. Maybe something gourmet, but nothing too expenisive…or stinky. =) White to yellow cheeses, please.

I was thinking Riesling, but that may be ‘too’ sweet since we’ll be having fruit and cookies (biscuits).

Any suggestions?

Thank you!
I’d prefer a hard or semi-hard cheese, please. Nothing like Brie, and I’m not quite sure about Havarti, although I have considered it for this occasion. =)

There will be minimal other food–a sushi platter, a shrimp platter, a fruit platter (as well as fruit displayed with the cheeses), some bread and water crackers. Our Wegmans has great cheeses and cheese delicacies (like apricots stuffed with marscapone and topped with a glazed walnut, or a brie and marscapone torta with pumpkin puree, topped with roasted nuts and craisins)—but nobody can tell me how much cheese I need!
