I love Merlot wine and was wondering what kind of cheese compliments merlot? Please list cheeses that are easy to find at the supermarket. Thanks!

I want to be creative, thoughtful and different then your ordinary champagnee flutes. I was thinking of doing a wine themed basket with some wine glasses, bottle or two of wine, some cheeses, and a gift certificate to a local wine tasting bar. But if you have other ideas I would love to hear! Also, if you are married what was your favorite ENGAGEMENT party gift? Thank you!
I would like to put together a wine basket for my brother for x-mas who loves all kinds of wine a good cheeses.I live in a small town in Ohio so no access to imported stores, and I like to make it personal by not ordering a ready to go gift basket. So what good(not brake the bank) wines should I put in it,I know he loves Cabernet Sauvignon, and port, but I have no idea when it comes to names and don’t want to ask not to apoil the suprise. And what else besides the wine,I mean a mini wine rack or a single wine holder or a decanter?Cheese and cracker,or cheese and a nice cheese cutter set? What would make a perfect wine lover’s basket after all. Thanks in advance.
I want to do a wine and cheese pairing; which 3 cheeses would pair best together - Gruyere, Gouda, Brick, Drunken Goat, Robiola Bosina. And what order would they be placed in on the board. What wines would go best with them.
for a good wine from the year 2006. I unfortunately haven’t developed my palate yet for ANY wine. I do find that when I cook with it, it has a beautiful taste, but when trying wines, I still haven’t found any very appealing to me. Anyways, I had a baby boy dec. 2006, and I wanted to purchase a wine to open when he turns 21, or maybe the day he gets married. Will the wine go sour? or rancid? is it possible to have a wine kept for that long? if so, where could I purchase one, and what do you recommend? any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully this summer I can go to some vineyards and go wine tasting. I am a very young woman, so I haven’t had much experience as far as drinking goes. Strong liquor has never appealed to me as well, but I would love to share the experience with food and cheeses! I love venturing off with all types of food, such a shame I can’t enjoy a good wine along with everyone else. Hopefully that changes. Thanks!
I want to have a get together in my house and i would like to know if anyone can give me some names of wines and what fruits and cheeses i can pair them up with or a specific site to find it i have googled it and found nothing of help. thank you.
I am having a wine and cheese party in a few weeks. We’ve asked everyone to bring a bottle of wine with them. We also want to provide some wine for the guests, but I want to get a few bottles that are more unusual. Could you suggest a few good wines that are unusual? I’m assuming my guests with bring the usual wines like pinot noir, reisling, etc. Also, which cheeses would you recommend?
I’m having a wine and cheese reception on Friday and want to get others’ perspectives and tastes - I know what I like but I’d like to get outside of my "comfort zone". What wines and cheeses do you like together? If you were going to answer Franzia boxed Rose and Velveeta, please just move along - that’s just plain wrong.
Oh, and "oenophile" means wine enthusiast.

hello,
I am hosting a cheese and wine function and was wondering which wines go best for such a thing? The snack table will consist of cheeses, salty stuff on sticks - you know party food.
I was thinking four different wines - two white and two red, what do you reckon?
Can someone provide some background on this please?
