We were moving across the country in May and, unexpectedly, all of our things were dropped from a climate-controlled semi into storage locker with no climate controls for 3 months. There were over 30 days of high heat and humidity (90+ degrees F) during that time, doubtless much hotter in the storage locker.
We had 10 cases of wine. At the "low" end were Shafer bottles that we had 3 years into a 5 year maturation period. At the high end were 10-20 year old Gaja Barbarescos. In between we had Rieslings from the best German providers, Cabs from the best Napa vineyards, and some other assorted + wines. Additionally we had in there some fine Scotches that I assume are fine.
We assume the wine is all destroyed but I am kind of hoping beyond hope that some of it might be reclaimable. Thanks in advance.

A friend and I are looking into buying private island property together and opening a vineyard and maybe later expanding to other libations. Our first thought was a nice island in the tropics seeing as all the Mediterranean islands are pretty expensive. The question we’re trying to answer now is "Is it feasible to grow wine grapes on a tropical island and if so what kind of grapes would be best suited for the climate?"

I bought a wine rack that hangs on the wall. I live in a very hot climate. I was wondering if I go on a vacation and have the airconditioning turned off will this cause the wine bottles to explode? I would hate to have wine all over my walls. Thanks

I’m doing a report for my job and I have most of what I need but am somewhat shaky on a couple of things:
What causes the same varietal -ie: Riesling - to be sweet in one vintage and dry in the next? Is it the aging? The soil? The climate?
Any answers on how vineyards change or enhance the flavors of a particular grape would be helpful. Thanks!

Would this type of climate offer good red wines?

I have a number of quality wines that I have been keeping at a controlled room temperature for 6-10 years. I have just now purchased a wine refrigerator. Is there any problem with moving these older wines from the room temperature to the cooler climate (of course without any drastic temperature change)? Or would I be better off keeping them at the same room temperature if I plan on drinking them within 2 years?
