About 10yrs ago the corner liquor store had some wine that I loved and have since been wondering what it was.

The only thing I can remember about it was that it had a picture of an estate on the front and on the back it had a little blurb about how the vineyards that the grapes were cultivated from had been spared some crop disease in the 1700 or 1800s.

I believe it was from France and it was either Merlot or a Bordeaux.

I know this is vague but I’m hoping someone here can help me out.

These fruit wines are made from other fruits—— not grapes and some vegetables, and the comments have been along the lines that one would have not thought these were any other than the regular wines.

Two years ago my dad planted a wine vineyard in our backyard. this past september was the first year he was able to crush the grapes and make wine. he is soooo into this and is sooo proud of it. he has been taking classes at the community college and everything.

the other day i had 3 friends over and i asked my dad if we could go and smell the wine that was fermenting in the cellar. he said yes as long as we put the cork back in. i had never seen it so i was excited and stuff. well after we weredone looking at it i tried to put the cork back in and i couldnt do it. so i tried one last time and the cork pushed WAYYYY to far in. its next to impossible to get it out now but the bottle is still corked. i was scared to tell him about it but he found it today. he is FURRIOUS. idont know how to apologize.

i know i should have told him sooner but i was soo scared that hed freak out. i dont kno what i was thinking. hes in the kitchen rite now….what should i go and say to him????

Im turning 21 soon and i’ve always wanted to try some wine. The real stuff from the vineyards not the cheep artificial flavored stuff. But there are so many different flavors out there and I have no idea what to buy. I was looking for something that tasted kinda fruity or sweet. I just dont want to randomly choose one and have it taste horriable. I always thought the purple colored wine tasted like grapes but on most of them it says made with mixed berries and chocolate? Eww. What about red wine? If anyone has alot of experience with tasting alot of different types of wine maybe you can help me get an idea of what to choose and what no to choose according to my taste =)
I live near Amite Louisiana out in the country and I havent seen any places like that around here

in all honesty im not a drinker at all. I have been smoking marijuana for quiet sometime now to deal with extreme insomnia. As better job offers come up I know its time for me to stop smoking but the insomnia worries me alot because I don’t want to take any pills or anything that will harm me greatly, so therfore I’d like to get some wine just to have a glass to relax me before bed. But I have NOOO clue what to buy when I look at all the wines so thats where I need some help. when i do go out with friends or what not I like to have drinks that are very fruity. strawberry is prolly my favorite. I see boones farm has all those fruity flavors, but r those really any good? what could you suggest for me? maybe even something that taste like grapes? but something i don’t have to drink too much of to get a lil buzz going hahaha. thanks!
umm marijuanna is not going to harm me the way sleeping pills would. Marijuanna is not anymore dangerous than a cig or the air that you breathe. Sleeping pills overtime will destroy your liver and possibly kill you. I got very very sick from taking sleeping pills for an extended period of time and don’t care to go through what I went through ever again!
also price is not too much of an issue

The grapes she harvested, to press;
Collected from her own vineyard.
Have grown for years, worn hands alone.
Now in her wooden press, unbarred.

She grew the grapes, their scarlet sage.
Tilled alone the rich fertile soil.
Waited with faith the wine to age.
Then it gave to her love unspoiled.

She filled his glass, from fruited vine.
Thinking of longing years apart..
The aged wine shared tasted sublime.
When lifted to his lips open heart.
changed a few words and took out others, I’ going over some poems trying to tighten them up,each time I learn I need to go back and repair.thanks nancy

It’s a red table wine. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and Counoise grapes. I’m not sure if this is any good. I just came across the bottle. Can anybody tell me if it’s drinkable, when it peaks or if it peaked, etc? Any information would be great.

Im currently learning about wine. I have a book that goes from everything about making it, the grapes from different regions, tasting, studying the bottle and pairings but im still confused about some things. It offers a sort of grid for an example wine of when its at its peak, like in 10 years. But how do you know which wines are able to age and which are not and when its ready to drink. Its not like the bottle says drink in 5 years. I have a bottle - Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery Concord- that’s really sweet red and served chilled and the bottle says consume within 1 year. But then I picked up a bottle of Sutter Home Sweet Red California Sweet Red wine 2009 This is the first bottle i’ve bought that has a year on it, does that mean its already been bottle aged for awhile and should be drunk right away. will it be bad if i wait till the end of summer? and for when i buy bottles later that have different years how do i know when to lay them down and when to drink them. Please help I really want to learn about wine.

My wife gave me a wine making experience - never heard of it before, but I am making 30 bottles of Amarone from RJ Spagnols concentrate. The shop used oak chips in a plastic bucket instead of an oak barrel and added a handful of raisins instead of crushing raisenated grapes. The shopkeep says the wine will be ready to drink in about a year. I like Amarone, but it’s too expensive for my everday wine. If you have made or tasted wine from concentrate, did you like it? Will it be even close to a vineyard product?

Okay, I’m semi-planning my wedding. Not getting married for a couple years, yet. I’m thinking of getting married outdoors in early October (in Denmark, by the way) where it will be cool, but not too chilly. The leaves will just be starting to turn. I kind of want to do a vineyard theme. Basically I want to use autumn colors, maple leaves, english ivy, etc and decorate a garden outdoors. Have fake grape bunches hanging all over everything, and for the wedding arch get a wooden arch and decorate it with the vines and grapes and some orange calla lillies. We’ll also have a lot of candles all over and maybe wine bottles in baskets surrounded by grapes as centerpieces. Can anyone give me more ideas for this type of theme, and does it sound like a good one? I’d like to have the cake be plain white, 3 tiers, with dark orange and white flowers decorating it.
