Hello wine lovers- We have a 3 litre bottle of 1993 Beaulieu Vineyard Georges De Latour Cabernet Sauvignon. I think my husband got it as a high school graduation present (back in 1995). It’s been in the basement until about a year ago when we had to move it to room temperature upstairs. It has some tiny drops of sticky, dark red residue peeking through the holes around the cork. Is it bad?

I was at the liquor store today and the guy offered me a bottle for free (he was the owner) and it was a very big bottle (a 4 liter jug) and when I got home I noticed that the cap on top was damaged half of the cap had paint off and it looked like someone almost poked holes in the cap of the bottle my grandfather says I should pour the entire bottle down the drain because he thinks somebody bought the bottle home, poked holes in the cap and put poison in there from the poked holes and then returned it to the store he says I should just get rid of the whole thing but he tried some just in case and now he is afraid something bad is going to happen to him I want to taste the wine but my grandfather hid it somewhere is he right for doing this?

I was at the liquor store today and bought 2 yellow tails and one TGI fridays cocktail coffee and chocolate when I was at the cash register one of the customers forgot one of their bottles (at least thats how it seemed) and in there there was a huge bottle of wine (4 liters) and the chinese guy who was the owner of the store offered it to me for free I took it since he was offering it to me for free but as soon as I got home I noticed that it looked like the cap was somehow already open (there was scratched paint on a part of the cap) and it looked like somebody poked holes through the cap and when my grandfather turned the bottle upside down it was leaking through the sides of the cap and he is telling me that it’s not safe to drink this wine since someone could have poisoned it and then returned it to the store and he wants me to pour everything down the drain and to not take a chance but I told him that what if there’s nothing wrong with the wine in the first place? so he drank about a cup and now he is afraid that he is going to die in his sleep he says there is a possibilty somebody could have poisioned the wine and that I should not drink it and that he took a chance by trying some should I take his advice and not drink it?
they didn’t carry it around with them some guy was going to buy it but then probably either forgot it or left it at the store

I was at the liquor store today and while I was at the cash register one of the customers left a 4 liter jug of wine at the cash register and the guy working there offered it to me for free so I said I’ll take it as soon as I got home I noticed that the cap was somewhat damaged half of it had the paint off like somebody banged the bottle up and it was kind of leaking like it wasn’t fully sealed and it looked like somebody poked holes in the cap although when I looked on the other side it didn’t look like it was poked exactly through the holes but it did look like someone was trying to poke holes in the cap my grandfather said I should throw the entire jug down the drain since he is afraid one of the customers poisoned it but then I asked him to try some and he did now he says if he lives till the morning he’ll let me have the wine and took it and hid it somewhere.

My DH and I don't drink wine (or spirits of any sort). But the wine rack looks like a big empty waste of space. What else can I put in there?
The wine rack has round holes, if that helps.
