I want to take a wine bottle as a gift to my host family but I’m also under age, I’m 20 yrs old. Would I get in trouble for having a bottle in my possession or would customs just take the bottle away ?

I’m going to Guatemala this summer and staying with a host family for almost a month. I wanted to bring them a gift from my area, and I’m from Walla Walla where there’s like 100+ wineries in this tiny ass town so I wanted to bring a bottle of wine, it would be unopened and in my checked bag. Can I do that? I’m 18 btw
