My husband and I are huge wine drinkers, and consume many bottles over the calendar year. We were thinking of starting a “wine scrapbook” of all of the wines we have tried. My trouble is, is that I do not know how to successfully remove the labels from the bottles. Is there a proper way to do this without completely running the label? Please help! Thank you in advance.
My fiancé bought a house over 4 years ago and there were about 10 bottles of wine left in the cellar from the previous owners. Most are red wines with maybe 2 white wines. The years range from 1981-1994 and from what we can see they are just house wines and nothing fancy (the previous owners put "house" labels on the bottles). I’ve tried finding these wines on the internet but had no luck as of yet.
Neither of us knows a thing about wine, but had heard that most wines over 12 years really aren’t good any more. What is the worst that could happen from drinking these old wines? I was assuming they could just taste really bad but probably would not make you ill. Am I correct in that assumption?
that you use as favors for weddings. Ones you can put your own labels on. I’m going crazy, because I cannot remember what they’re called. Individual little wine bottles.
For our wedding, we’re having home-made bottles of wine with personalized labels as favors for our guests. They’ll be sitting on the table at their places when they arrive at the reception.
What should we have as our personal message? It can only be one line.
I’ve been thinking of something like, "We’re glad you’re here!"

I doubt the labels have any good will left. But maybe labels have to be registered state by state, or there are other government hoops to jump thru that can be bypassed by using a label that has already approved.

My friends and I just love seeing the various labels of wine bottles, is there a special type of graphic design market that does product labeling or wrapping?
I’m collecting empty wine bottles and I am in the procees of removing the labels. I soaked the bottles in hot water and the labels cames off. But the "stuff" that they put the labels on with is still there. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove it? I tried fingernail polish remover but it didn’t work that well. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.
I never see the state redemption value codes on the labels of wine bottles….
Well I guess I’m stupid. I thought because they didn’t have state redemption codes that meant they were not recyclable
I’m new to wine and noticed that there is a wind variety of labels from all over the word. How do I read them?
Does anyone have any suggestions for techniques? Mainly what adhesive to use to secure the labels and then what finish to use to make them waterproof. So far I have tried polyurethane, but that turned yellow.
