I hate asking here because I know I’ll get a bunch of joke responses, but this place is better than nothing. So thanks in advance to anyone that takes me seriously or doesn’t make some stupid sarcastic or political joke.
I live in Northern California and am looking for a temporary source of income until I start a more long term job later this year. My social skills are really bad and I don’t do well at service or office jobs, so I’ve been looking at labor work. Harvesting season is about to start at the vineyards but when I search for "fruit picking job" or "grape picking job" online, nothing comes up. I found a vineyard job site, but there were only listings like "agricultural manager" and salespeople for wine shops.
I know few other people want picking jobs and not every farm or vineyard relies on illegal labor, so why is it so hard to find one? Does anyone seriously know how I can go about getting something like this to hold me over until I can get permanent work? I’d be more than happy to do it.

Planning to visit wine country in northern California this summer. We don’t want to drive for obvious reasons and are hoping to avoid the planned shuttle tours. From the maps, it looks like there are several areas with 8-10 wineries within a mile or two of each other. They’re mostly connected by state highways that I assume aren’t exactly pedestrian friendly, but is it possible to get a ride to such an area then walk among the nearby wineries at our own pace? This seems like an obvious question but I haven’t really seen anything about it online.
(I’ve read about "wine trek" planned tours that visit a few wineries and have hikes in between, we’re not looking for that.)

I am planning a trip next year to Northern California. I want to make this a wine tasting trip. I want to visit Napa or Sonoma. I prefer red wines.
