I bought 2 wine train certificates at discount price. It’s a wine testing train with 3 courses meal at Napa Valley.
Even though we are not a wine drinker but I thought this will be fun and great surprise for our wedding anniversary.
Oh, another thing, the wedding anniversary date and her birthday is on the same day. So, this is not a regular anniversary.
It’s a combined gift, fun, surprise, combo thing. I’m a little on budget don’t have a lot to spend all out but want to make it special each year it comes around.
We’ve going to Las Vegas for past 3 yrs … watch good show, eat good food, stay in a nice hotel (thanks to priceline, craigslist, and ebay)
I’ve already booked and paid to priceline.com for flight, hotel, and car rental. That’s mean no refund back.
The thing is I lost the Wine Train certificates. I could find them and I can’t change my plan.
I don’t want to pay for another 0 for wine train but I don’t want to waste my trip going up there.
Do you have any suggestion? I will fly over on Thursday night (Oct 29) and fly back on Sat night (Oct 31).
It’s supposed to be a short surprise trip b/c I’m on budget. Now, I’m in a big black hole don’t know what to do.
We’ve been driving up to San Francisco more than 10 times in the past 4 years. So, we don’t want to go to San Francisco again.
We did camping trip from Big Sur all the way to Northern San Francisco area. We took relatives up there numerous times. So, no San Francis trip for us.
No, I haven’t look every else. I have to give it one more shot of looking everywhere. I tried to hide them from my wife but now I can’t find it.
Thanks guys, these are all good substitution. The bike ride, the picnic, and the castle sounds wonderful. Many thanks!!
My boyfriend & I are going to Napa on Monday. Worst case scenario, we will just drive around to the different wineries and have a picnic somewhere in there.
But if there is a more organized approach to hanging out in Napa Valley, I’d like to hear about it. The Napa Valley Wine Train isn’t an option, by the way because I just talked to them. Are there any certain places you’d recommend? Tell me whatever you know. Thanks!
I am taking my family to a local wine vineyard for a picnic and jazz concert. What is a good menu for a picnic? It will be adults and children going to the picnic.
Do you have advice about very good/the best vineyards/wineries in the Santa Barbara area?
I would like a place where my friends and I can wine taste for free or cheap ( we are all a bit broke..and I’ve never done this so i don’t know if they are usually free with at least a few bottle purchases, or if you have to pay for wine tasting seperately). We will probably buy a few bottles anyway.
Also, can we bring our own stuff and picnic there? do people do that? is that an additional fee? I’m not sure if we want a tour of the vineyard or the wine making process, buts a nice option to have.
I just don’t know anything. But i do want a nice place with an awesome ambience to have a great time with friends..and hope that it won’t cost an arm and a leg.
I appreciate any advice about specific places in the area. I would also appreciate advice about facts to consider and anything about how things are do
What wineries are the coolest to see in Napa? Good wine is ok, but I am taking some non wine drinkers who would like to see the beautiful estates and maybe picnic in some of the relaxing courtyards. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Thanks, but I already knew about the site…I wanted personal experience kid of suggestions for places though…like if youve been to a particular one you would recommend.

Thanks, but I don’t really need a site with a list of vineyard, I can do that search on my own (i have in fact). I would like some personal experience kind of advice, not a list of available places in the county.
I wanna go out that way this weekend for a change and enjoy nature and a nice wine picnic or something nice and romantic for me and my honey!
Any ideas?
Maybe not wine country but something else?
