There is a place I heard of in Orlando that offers hundreds of wines on tap. You pay up front, whatever amount you wish then they give you a "debit card" of sorts and you walk around this giant place, swipe your card at your will and try whatever wine you wish. Anyone ever heard of this place. I don’t know the name.
i used distilled water in a batch of wine and then read on some random site that distilled water when making wine is a "no no".
It’s an end of year party put on by a top Jamaican company. I’m female. Environmentalist/scientist definitely not corporate. 33 years old with nice clothes, a few "bohemian" pieces (embroidered tops, classy flared skirts, interesting jewellry) but no nice business wear. I do not want to shop for anything new.
I know nothing about wines so I just want to make sure that the wine the salesman recommended was a good one. The label says, "Chateau La Roque, Pic Saint Loup, Red Coteaux du Languedoc wine, Cupa Numismae." It also says it’s a 2004 vintage wine. I paid for a 750ml bottle. Was this a good deal or should I just find another wine store to go to in the future for my gifting needs?
that a large portion of what you were chewing was actually cardboard, so you spit the mashed wad of kud as far as your tar filled lungs will allow? After doing so did you stare at your new artwork on the wall and wonder "why isn’t beer sold in fancy cardboard boxes like the finer wines are?"

I’m sorry, but don’t you think that the wine snobs should swallow the smallest amount they can to actualy enjoy the true finish of a wine.
Spitting should be for judging mass tastings IMHO or if the wine is that bad……
At a winery you only get to taste a few and move on.

I belong to a wine club and I live in Oklahoma. It’s hot here now and my most recent delivery, one bottle you can see the cork starting to bulge out (even so it hasn’t broken through the foil) and the other bottle, there’s a little "syrup" around the foil at the top of the cork. Are these wines now bad? I just wanted to take them to my parents for a really really casual dinner; but I’m wondering if I should bring back up wines, too? Thanks a million! Cindy PS Both wines are reds, Italian, Valpolicella.
My husband and I are planning a trip to wine country (sonoma valley, napa valley) and would love to hear any suggestions about cool wineries to go, etc…we don't care about having to go to all the "must see" places. We care more about having a good time and drinking some good wine:)
