I have had an unopened bottle of chardonnay in my refrigerator for about a year now. Someone gave it to me last year and I meant to drink it, but I just never did. Is it still good to drink?

Once you open a bottle of red or white wine, how long can you keep it in the refrigerator for cooking purposes before throwing it out?
I normally just use the wine specified as "cooking wine" but I’ve been told the regular (and even cheap) white wines taste better even in cooking. But, I wouldn’t use a lot at a time, and worry it would go bad while in the refrigerator for lengths of time.
We all know the wine can be forever out of the refrigerator, being even better for its aging process…what about inside the refrigerator?
Hi
I have 5 year old unopened bottle of COOK’s BRUT - California Champagne - Sparkling WINE. Is it safe to drink 5 year old Champagne (Sparkling WINE). It is sitting in my refrigerator for long, but several time it gone through ice cold to room temperate transformation. Is it safe to drink it? OR is it aged and become more valuable and fine wine? I vaguely remember Champagne or Sparkling WINE should be consumed soon and not allow it to age. AM I right? I know many will say why drink it? I am looking for more scientific reasons and educational information.
Thanks
In a simple wine rack or in a my refrigerator? My concern is that the wine will not taste the same once its opened and sits on my counter top for weeks.
I have recently acquired some fairly pricey bottles of red and white wine. I realize now that I have no suitable place to store them. Our home averages about 80 degrees during the long hot summers. Can I store these lovely vintages in a refrigerator that is stored in the garage? The refrigerator works well, we just don’t use this fridge currently. Can I manipulate the temps somehow? Trying to avoid buying an expensive wine cellar just yet. Thanks for any help.
I have two choices for storing my wine (for a week or so):
1) store in the refrigerator, where it will reach very cool temperatures (40 degrees)
2) store in the cabinet, where 85 degree temperatures are reached during the day (70 degrees at night)
Also, how does opening and resealing the wine affect storage, if at all?
I recently bought my first bottle of wine on a trip to a winery. It is a light wine with a sweet tangy flavor I am not much of a wine drinker, and I am thinking that I may like the wine better if it is cold. But I am not sure whether it is a good idea to put the bottle of wine in the refrigerator, for I don’t seem to see people do that.
I just visited a winery and bought a few bottles of white that I know I can chill in my regular refrigerator. The vintner gave me a couple bottles of dry red wine that aren't available to the public, but I won't be able to drink them soon. There are no cool places in my house in the summer. Can I keep these special bottles in the refrigerator, then let them warm up when I'm ready to drink them? Will this affect their taste?
