I am not a big wine drinking, but some friends gave me some wine as a gift. I am having a party and I wasn’t sure how to serve it.
I got Sutter home white Zinfandel ( i belive u serve that chilled) and a White Merlot do i serve that chilled as well or room temp?
If so, which of all the red wines category can or best chilled to bring out the aromas and flavors?
What causes the low temp or room temp to bring out the flavors of red wines?
Is there a difference in aroma and taste if decanted after a brief chill?
What about Spanish wine from Spain?
What makes them special compared to other wine producing countries?
What is the best way to serve Spanish wine?
I preffer it cold but some people think I am crazy. Wine and book club meet tonight. Take it room temp or chilled?
I have always wondered why if Red wine is suppose to be used in room temp why they are in a wine cooler. I am usually a red wine drinker. I was just curious about a wine cooler/refrigerator. Does it enhance the flavor?
We will probably drink it in the next week or so. Do we need to refrigerate it or can we leave it at room temp?
My boy friend insists only way to store any wine is to in a dual temp. control wine cellar—since whites and reds are stored at different temps. My best friend says unless we are buying collectible, expensive wines, we can store reds at room temp. (that is, air conditioned) and put whites in fridge an hour before serving. Who is right.
