There are so many tours to the wine country which is best? Should you see Sonoma and Napa?

We’ll be in Napa and Sonoma for 2 days this Summer. I don’t want to be drunk all day just tasting wine. What are some other neat things we can do? Anything outdoorsy? Thanks!

Can anyone suggest some fun/exciting/unique wineries and resteraunts in the Napa and/or Sonoma region of California? As you can see, it’s for our honeymoon and being from Michigan, we don’t get out to CA often, so we want to make the most of it! Thank you!!!

I would like to stay in a hotel in wine country this weekend and am looking for an inexpensive wine tour, one that would pick up somewhere in town. I have found one in Napa for , but it doesn’t run on Saturday (which is the only day I can go) and the hotels in Sonoma seem pricey. Does anyone know of one that will pick up other then in San Francisco?

Does anyone know where I can get free tasting coupons for Napa and Sonoma? Also for Russian River Valley.

Thanks!

California wine country. Don’t care about the wine, just the scenery, ESPECIALLY valleys, lushness of foliage, and fall colors is a bonus.

If I go to Santa Barbara wine country, is it the same scenery as Napa/Sonoma or not as nice?

What has more beautiful scenery, Napa or Sonoma?

Thanks!

I will be flying into SF and my first stop is Napa and Sonoma where I will be purchasing some wine from different wineries. I do not want to tag all the wine with me. How do I go about shipping the wine back to San Diego?

Just curious, how much is the average price for a tasting in Napa?

Thanks in advance.
I should add: I realize Sonoma is a bit cheaper and Mendicino county is generally free. Alas, I’m going with friends who are pretty set on Napa and I don’t think they want to drive the extra 90 minutes to the Anderson Valley (unfortunately).

There is as strange red residue on the inside of a bottle of wine. About 3 total square inches. The wine is Gallo of Sonoma Syrah wine (2003 reserve). It appears to be solid and stuck to the insides of the bottle, though smooth, like it was paper. Not sure what this is.

my husband and i went to san francisco about a year and a half ago to visit his brother and weren’t really thinking we’d go back… but now we’re thinking about heading back in December of this year. We’d like to be members of maybe two or three wine clubs by the time we go out there (just as a hint about our preferences - we prefer Sonoma as opposed to Napa because we feel like Napa is heavily commercialized). So anyway, we joined the Forchini (Carla’s Wine Club) yesterday and we were thinking about joining Sebastiani (Cherryblock Club), but we weren’t sure if anyone else had any good suggestions. We were members of the Viansa wine club after we went out there a year and a half ago, but started to get nervous because their billing and shipments were off a majority of the time. any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
