Yeah! I have never been to California but need to go so bad. I’ll fly into Oakland about 1:30p on a Saturday. I’m young, fit, and don’t mind camping a lot to cut down on expenses. I just need to know the best places to see and sleep in Yosemite and wine country. Best sights and campgrounds in Yosemite, best vineyards and cheapest accomodations in Napa and Sonoma, and anything worth doing in San Fran and Oakland. Can I avoid renting a car for this little circuit? I’m thinking two nights of "luxury" in hotels (but lets keep the rates "budget") out of seven would be about right. Where’s the can’t-miss food at here, too?

My favorite wine is Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. I want to branch out from Napa Valley Cabs and experience some good Sonoma Cabs. So that you understand my taste, the following are my favorite Napa Valley Cabs under a bottle: Clos Du Val, Charles Krug, Markham, and Napa Cellars. The one Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon that I tried and liked was an ’02 St. Francis. That bottle motivated me to taste other Sonoma Cabs.

I am trying to find out if there is a way to get from san fran without renting a car OR paying 50$ ech for a tour bus to go to napa or sonoma for a day.
is there a bus or a train or other public transportation that will get me there cheep?

My boyfriend doesn’t drink, I mean a taste of alcohol hasn’t crossed his lips in at least 5 years. I would LOVE to do a wine tasting tour in either napa or sonoma, but don’t really know where to start because it is mandatory that wherever we go have a non-alcoholic choice…
