It’s a red table wine. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and Counoise grapes. I’m not sure if this is any good. I just came across the bottle. Can anybody tell me if it’s drinkable, when it peaks or if it peaked, etc? Any information would be great.

I bought a bottle of Francis Ford Coppola’s Syrah-Shiraz about a week ago, and unfortunately didn’t have the chance to try it before I had to head back across the country. So I decided to pour the wine into a seal proof metal beverage container, wrap it in plastic and take it with me across the country. It was there in the suit case for a little more than a day, and when I got back to my place I immediately put it in the fridge.
My question is, is this wine still safe to drink? or is it more likely that it’s turned through the journey, and should be thrown out. I never opened the container, during any time that it’s been in a room temperature environment. And so far, it’s been in the fridge for 5 days.
So what would you guys say, safe to drink? or better to dump?

(I’m 18…i haven’t tasted wine once in my life, but i’m curious)
the tastes of different wines seem to always be described by some kind of flavor like a fruit (cranberry, peach, orange etc.) or chocolate, vanilla, and such.
but the wines that are being described aren’t made with any of that…
like this one wine says it has 75% Cinsault, 15% Syrah and 10% Grenache..(or something along those lines) and they’re all grapes! - so how is it the wine has "rasberry" and "cranberry" fruit flavors??
(the fruits aren’t actually used in the wine making process right?)

I know very little of wine, but Petite Sirah is the one kind that I remember really liking (and has a name that’s easy to pronounce). I’m looking for other wines similar to this.
I like wines that have a strong flavor and aren’t too sweet or too dry. I also really love the ones that have the buttery aftertaste. I don’t know what that is. I’ve tried the Syrah and Shiraz and didn’t much care for either.
I haven’t found too many white wines that really stand out to me as being either good or bad. They’re usually pretty bland to me, or just too sweet.
Any suggestions?
also: how important are brands? Are there any brands you’d stay far away from? are cheap brands that much different than the less cheap?
Merlot was so common, I thought I was supposed to stay away from it in order to be snotty.

I have a bottle of Red Wine that was left at my house a few years ago, and has never been opened. Does this stuff go bad, or just "get better with age"? It says on the back of the label it is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, and 30% Zinfandel. I don’t know jack about wine, and thought about giving it to a friend but I don’t want to if it wouldn’t be drinkable now.
Any experts that can help me out?
