I am working an engineering internship where we were taught SAP and use it regularly.
The computers we use are old, and are set up so that 4 (four) users can use one tower.
That being said, if one of these other idiots has a lot of windows open or has 15 tabs of Face Book open in their browser, it slows the system down considerably.
Since some of the transactions are specific to the company, I can’t just install a new version of SAP on my laptop, but rather I feel that I need to "Pirate" the software installed on the computer I use, then transfer the data onto Linux (Ubuntu) and install it using wine so that I get the exact same setup.
This ONE computer the FOUR of us use is almost always at 80% load, and uses about 2.5Gb of memory out of the 3Gb available. I’m sick and tired of telling people to log off Face Book so that I can do my work.
I’m going to ask the IT team for help, or if they will give me a version to use during my internship here.
Regardless of what they say, if this is possible, I would like to know how to do it even if it’s just for the fun of knowing it, whether I use it or not.
Thanks for any help.
Basically I want to steal software from windows and install it on linux.
I know it’s illegal which is why I won’t do it on the company computer without permission,
But I will do this on my computer at home with the software I HAVE paid for.
Any info, and/or helpful google searches would be great.
