I have a few different wines that I use to cook with. I currently have them in a wine rack in my kitchen. Should they be refrigerated? Or are they fine where they are at?

pretended i was sick all week because didnt know how to tell, picked up bottles from wine rack, afraid they might think i drank them
The wine rack has a mount with two screw holes, and then there are like three loopy metal pieces that hang off it with room for six wine bottles through the loops. My walls are plaster. I was planning on drilling a hole directly into the wall stud and using plastic expansion anchors. Will this work, or is there a better way? I’ve heard conflicting reports. I also bought some toggle bolts but it seems like a better idea to go directly into the stud. Do I even need anchors if screwing into the stud? Thanks!
I bought a wine rack that hangs on the wall. I live in a very hot climate. I was wondering if I go on a vacation and have the airconditioning turned off will this cause the wine bottles to explode? I would hate to have wine all over my walls. Thanks
I have a closet on a lower level that I want to paint. Right now it’s white. And because the temperature is right and it is void of sunlight I want to put a wine rack in there and build a cellar. What color should I paint it? I’m thinking dark red or purple, but what do you think?
So she just turned 20 and we have ben friends since were kids, but we have gone our seperate ways. We hang around here and there, and still consider eachother good friends. Anyways she just turned 20 buuuuuut I didn’t get her a gift because I didn’t know what to get her. I have a gift for her for next year when she’s 21 but i’m thinking I should just give it to her this year? It’s a wine rack that also holds glasses, it’s an enclosed cabinet that i made from solid mahogony. Should I give it to her this year? or what?
if i had a ton of wine, where would i store them. Im gonna make myself a wine rack for DT, can some of you tell me problems with wine bottles and their storage.
I could be wrong here, but I thought the idea behind a wine rack was to store the wine bottles tilted so that the cork does not dry out.
But if I only buy wine that has a plastic cork (it just so happens my favorite wine uses them) do I need to still store the bottles on a tilt?
I was thinking that the benefit of the plastic corks is that they don’t dry out like real cork corks.
Please help me wine connoisseurs!
I don’t drink wine myself as I get a headache from the tannins or something like that. But I just got a cabinet with a small wine rack in it, and would like to have a few bottles around to offer glasses to guest (instead of a beer, lol).
I have no clue what I should keep on hand. Can you offer advice on what to chose for a half a dozen bottles? I’d like to keep it under 0 if possible.
Thanks!!
Who thinks what is better for storing wines? I currently have a wine refrigerator from EuroCave (http://www.vintagecellars.com/category_sub.asp?prodcategoryID=94) but I’m searching for a simple, easy-access wine rack for my living room.
