Who thinks what is better for storing wines? I currently have a wine refrigerator from EuroCave (http://www.vintagecellars.com/category_sub.asp?prodcategoryID=94) but I’m searching for a simple, easy-access wine rack for my living room.

I have a wine refrigerator, but it came with no lock. I am looking for the possiblily of finding a separate lock to put on. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance!
I think I should clarify. There are no children involved, although the expression concern is nice to hear/know. I am moving in with a roommate, and want to be sure my wine is locked up and secure while I am away or gone from home. The lock is merely to keep out theft.
I am having this wine refrigerator built into my cabinets under the countertop. So the bottom line is that it will only be open on the front side. Do I need a special one for this and do you have any recommendations for something that will hold 30-50 bottles? If you have a great website for research that would be great too. Thanks.
I am going to buy a wine refrigerator. I just want to know if I need a special one to go under the counter/in the cabinets if the only "open" area is the front.
Should I keep this wine refrigerator?
I just bought an Oster 12 bottle wine "cellar" on Ebay for . It was listed as "new". When it came it was all banged up & the drip tray was cracked to the point that it won’t be useful. But it was 1/2 the retail price. My first thought was to send it back. But what a hassle! So my question is what do you think? Are the problems with this unit inconsequential? Or are they serious enuf that I shouldn’t mess with this thing?
It is dented @ the top left rear metal cage, behind the electrical elements. And it’s also kicked in at the bottom. As I said, the drip tray is badly cracked.
So what do you think? Spend the $ to send it back? I think the seller will reimburse me 1/2 of that if he keeps his word. But he hasn’t returned any of my emails in a long time - even tho he asked me to email him photos of the damage.
Most importantly, is this thing a safety hazard?
It’s hot & my wines are in need of shelter. What do you think? Get another one? Or "Just Chill"?

Update - Not only is the seller not returning my e-mails, but he is no longer registered with Ebay.

My husband wants to set up a Wine Cellar in the basement; the humidity is between 60 & 75. How much humidity is good? Or is better just to buy the wine refrigerator? But it will take more electricity. I also want to know what kind of wines you suggest for to have. I like red and white wine. I will like to have a good variety of wine for just sit back and relax, dinner time, desserts. Etc. I don’t care about the price range; we want a very selective variety of wines. And for those people that doesn’t enjoy wine like we do, what kind of wine can I get for those occasions? Please I need suggestions. My husband wants to know how to make our own wine, detail instructions. Thank you. I can’t wait for your answers.
Thanks Lexi, I also want to know how to make our own wine.

I'm looking for a wine refrigerator, and a friend said he had one he could sell me… but described it as a wine chiller.
I'm just asking for the difference between the two pieces of equipment, if there is one.
I know I need a cooling system. I appreciate the extra tips about wine, etc, but that's not what will help me right now… thanks
I'm looking to buy a wine refrigerator that can be built in to cabinets. I only want to spend 0 to 0 and am looking for advice. I've heard these can be very noisy and break often.
Do any of you have advice or specific model recommendations?
I have a number of quality wines that I have been keeping at a controlled room temperature for 6-10 years. I have just now purchased a wine refrigerator. Is there any problem with moving these older wines from the room temperature to the cooler climate (of course without any drastic temperature change)? Or would I be better off keeping them at the same room temperature if I plan on drinking them within 2 years?
