I’m traveling to Niagara Falls, I’ve heard there are good wineries on the Canadian side… any recommendations? What are the best kinds of wine that I should try while there?
My roommate and I started a tradition awhile back to visit a winery on every vacation we went on and to save a bottle of wine from each of the wineries visited (well, that we liked anyway) as a keepsake of our travels. It started out as a great idea but now it just kind of seems tacky to have a bunch of wine bottles around the house (we probably have 12 - 15). I was thinking of keeping a scrapbook of all the wine labels but I’m not sure how we would peel each of them off without ripping them. I’m also open to any other ideas out there so please let me know. I just don’t want a whole bunch of wine bottles scattered around my house - especially since we plan on keeping with this tradition!
My Husband and I are celebrating our 3rd Anniversary in the Northern California area. I wanted to know some of the generally accepted etiquette for visiting wineries. We are wine novices, and our palettes are not yet attuned to the different notes in wine. How can we seem at least a little educated in wines? Is it proper to share a tasting if I can’t handle that much liquor? Do you look like a schmuck if you don’t purchase a bottle of wine after the tasting?

Does anyone know of any wineries in the Boston area where you can make your own wine and then print your own labels for the bottle? Also, I’m not interested in making 1-2 bottles, I’d be making about 45 bottles (for wedding favors).

The statutes of many reciprocal/direct shipment states only mention wineries, and do not expressly prohibit other entities. Can anyone point me in the right direction with information more specific to retailers?
My wife and I are making a stop in either Turin or Asti and are looking to go to some wineries. Any suggestions? Also, are places open on Sundays?

I wanted to take my friend wine tasting in Napa, but I don’t know where to start in terms of choosing wineries. There will only be 3 of us going and I don’t want it to get too expensive. How does wine tasting work? Should we get a driver? How many wineries should we go to? Where are good places to hit up for a couple 23 year olds. Any help would be great! Thanks!
I went to Napa, had a great time, spent a fortune on wine.. and bought several bottles of wine that I tasted.
But, the bottles I tasted (in several wineries) were 04’s and 05’s.. but when I got home and looked at what I bought they were all 2007??
I tried one of the bottles and it was too sour and wasn’t ready to drink. Is this customary or was I ripped off???
I am considering getting an associates degree in viticulture and wine making, but I am not sure if would do too much good for me. My ultimate goal is to eventually get a job making wine or being a vineyard manager. Do vineyards and wineries only consider people without bachelor degrees for those job? Thanks for the help.
