I have seen some people bury them (neck first) in the garden to make really unusual stepping stones - you would need to bury heaps close together. But if they are really cool and you want to show them off I would get some of those really nice "floating shelves" or boxes that you mount on the wall and paint in colors to coordinate with your home - use the bottles as simply decorative elements - pick some of the really cool looking ones and sit them together in the boxes or shelving areas - have a bundle of old books piled next to them, or other old looking items - perhaps a few corks and an antique looking cork-screw. Add a big chunky old candle.

Or why not buy yourself a beautiful iron or similar wine rack - you can have new ready to use bottles in there as well as the empty cool bottles - some of the racks are absolutely gorgeous and would look lovely (see the link below).

(don't stick candles in them - that is really ugly - you may as well place a big red & white checked tablecloth on your dinner table and have them all sitting on it with candles in them if you are going to do that!)

I've put pouring spouts in mine and use them for vinegar, olive oil, dishwashing soap and handwashing soap dispensers. You can also buy bottle conversion kits at the craft store to turn them into liquid parafin oil lamps. They are little glass inserts with a wick in the middle that rest on the lip. You have to get the longest ones though and use some filler in the bottom of the bottle so you don't need as much lamp oil.
