France, Germany and Chile.
italy of course!
Australia, Italy
The Aussies are also making some nice vintages now
Except you what? I assume you are from the US.
I am from Europe - the UK. I like some French wine - I would say that is the best. I am quite fond of German wines too.
I have also tried very nice wines from Italy, Spain, South Africa and Chile.
hands down, French.
Their stuff is the best simply cuz they got the best climate and land to grow their grapes. And they’ve done it for a long time, true experts at what they do.
Australia of course! Our wines are already up there but I believe that they are improving greatly year after year. Very rarely do I get a bad wine from my wine clubs anymore - they are all very drinkable - especially if you like a Shiraz.
Ya, Italy
Depends on what kind of wine you want. Each region of the world has it’s forte. I like sweet whites from The Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region of Germany. I like Aussie wines across the board. The West Coast of South Africa produces many very nice wines. If you like a stronger, more in your face wine stay away from Europe. European wines tend to be more mild and earthy
Italy by far. But I think France get an honorable mention.
My favorite is Austraila, but Chilean wines are starting to grow on me.
Germany, and France
You’d have to define best. I’m quite fond of Chile, Australia, South Africa, and France. I love Chile because its consistent climate allows for consistently high quality wines at very reasonable prices. If you have two wines made from the same grape that get similar reviews and one is from France and the other Chile the Chilean wine will generally cost half or less of the French wine (at least in the US). For me that can make it the best as it allows me to afford good wine more often. What use is something being the best if you can’t afford to purchase it?
Australia is also a good source of value wines. I think some of the South African wines are interesting and I like to keep things exciting. If I want to splurge I’ll occasionally buy something expensive from France and I tend to enjoy it, plus there are few styles made in France that other countries can’t seem to make correctly. One is Provence- style Vin Gris.
Italy.
france italy spain Australia chile argentina are all on top of the wine making game
