Sounds like you have the rite Idea, I’ve been to quite a few and it always seems like they have 3 or 4 platters of finger foods that are easy to pick up and not messy and easy to eat.
Fruit Platter, Grapes, Strawberries, Melon cubes, Fresh Pineapple Chunks,
Veggie Platter, Broccoli florets, Cauliflower, Cucumber, Zuch. or yellow squash, grape tomatoes. Olives,Radish’s, Ranch Dip
Cheese platter, Cheddar, Swiss, Mozzarella, Swiss, Blue, Pepperoni slices. Assortment of crackers and wafers.
Shrimp, Precooked cocktail shrimp with cocktail sauce and lemon slices.
I guess you could do chips and dips, but it’s not very formal
Apple slices
Grapes
Good crusty bread
Some dips
Figs
corn dogs
Crackers, fruit, and finger sandwiches. You cannot fail there. With the finger sandwiches, make sure you have ham, turkey, and roastbeef.
crackers, maybe a bottle of champagne for the fancy drinker,
and maybe a light appetizer those tea crisp sandwiches, and maybe a fruit salad depending on what wine you are getting
Crackers, beer, dips, fruit, and finger sandwiches are great ideas. I think you got the hang of it.
Kidx
Beer!
Steaks are good.
Terriyaki Sticks (seasoned/marinated and grilled.)
SLPH: Stupid Little Party Hats.
fish chunks (i don’t know why, but the parties i’
ve been to all had them.
fruit platter.
olives, pickles.
crackers or good bread.
almonds or other nuts.
sliced sausage (hard salami, chorizo, etc).
If it’s "wine & cheese", then here’s what I would serve
A selection of gourmet cheeses. 5 minimum if you are having more than 10 people.
Various crackers that can support the cheese. Have a wide selection.
Date or Fig ‘bread’ - it’s a solid brick of fig or date with almonds
Fig Jelly (great with soft cheeses)
Honey (Great with hard dry cheeses)
Sliced Baguettes
Almonds
Various fresh olives
Apples & Pears
Dates & Golden Raisins (optional)
High end chocolate squares
Strawberries
Cherry tomatoes or sliced heirloom tomatoes
Finger Sandwiches and Chips & Salsa don’t go with the theme of a wine & cheese party. If you are doing light appetizers, then they are ok.
crackers or baguette
fruit tray
olive tray
smoked salmon
veggies & dip
guac and crab cakes are good. Try and do things that will not make you hoover by an oven.
