The living room isn’t optimal for storing wine, so I’d go for the puns: Marilyn Merlot, Goats Do Roam, and the like. Those, by the way, despite having completely fanciful names, are pretty drinkable little wines.
The brands with the kangaroo or with the goose. They both have color on the label, are cheap, and taste reasonably well.
Well the one you plan on drinking of course! Why else did you get a wine rack? If you drink your wine within a year then a living room rack is fine provided its out of direct sun and you don’t keep your house at 80 degrees.
If its for show then there’s a quandry: Did you buy it to show off supposed good taste? Then you’ll need recognizable, pricier wines and if they’re just going to sit there and go bad its somewhat of a waste.
If its just a prop then buy the cheapest wine you can find. What does it matter really?
Some good brands would be Turning Leaf, or Yellow Tail. Also look into South African Wines, very good. Chilean, Austrailian. All these are good.

Do you want to drink it or just display it? The living room is not a good place to store wine you will eventually drink, wine is best stored in a cool, dark, quiet with little motion or air disturbance place.
If the rack is just for show, buy good stuff and drink it then re cork the bottles and display them. At wine making supply stores you can buy plastic shrink wrap covers for the cork that you apply with a hair dryer. Makes it look like new!
Or, the next time you go out, ask the bar or restaurant for empty wine bottles.
charles shaw’s two buck chuck. ok label….and it’s like 33.00/case at trader joes.
i have a simple solution that might sound silly. first find just an empty bottle of high priced wine. sometimes flea markets sell empty bottles for some reason. and it doesnt really have to actually be an expensive brand, just and expensive looking bottle. then go to the liquor store and buy the absolute cheapest wine you can find (or as i like to call it, "wino wine"). then just pour the cheap stuff into your expensive looking bottle and cork it. that way if you had guests, you could actually serve the wine, and they will think it is pricey. as Dave Barry said, "most people cant tell "good" wine from melted popsicles." and also when you run out of the wine, you can refill it over and over with the cheap stuff.
go to a liquir store and look at the cheepest bottles, and pick the coolest looking ones. people will look at them
